Lisa Giocomo, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at Stanford University.
The Giocomo lab integrates electrophysiology, behavior, imaging, gene manipulations, optogenetics and computational modeling to study how single-cell biophysics and network dynamics interact to mediate spatial memory and navigation. Work is being done to deduce the neural codes and computations underlying psychological phenomena, such as thought or recollection, and extract general coding principles of high-order cortical circuits.
