 The Neuroscience Graduate Group is an interdisciplinary group that is not affiliated with any particular department, but is run through the Division of Graduate Studies. Administration for the program is located at the Center for Neuroscience, which serves as a hub for the program.  Faculty members within the Program are located in a wide range of departments on the Davis campus, off-campus, and at the Medical Center in Sacramento.

The faculty of the Neuroscience Graduate Group is associated with thirteen academic departments within the University, Medical School, and Veterinary School. It functions as a cohesive unit with strong and productive interactions among its members. Faculty are supported by a number of grants from sources including the NIH, NSF, NASA, James S. McDonnell Foundation, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, The Esther A. and Joseph Klingenstein Fund, March of Dimes, W.M. Keck Foundation, Pritzker Consortium, ARCS Foundation, Pew Scholars Program, Human Frontier Science Program, Whitehall Foundation, M.I.N.D. Institute, NARSAD, Office of Naval Research, the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, and private donations.
