Campus/Davis InformationUC DavisDescription: UC Davis offers both a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs as well as professional schools in law, management, medicine, and veterinary medicine. It is the largest of the nine UC campuses in acreage, second largest in budget, and third largest in enrollment. Graduate studies at UC Davis offers over 80 graduate degree programs, giving UC Davis the most diversified teaching faculty and curriculum in the nine UC-campus system. UC Davis has a total enrollment of nearly 25,000 students. Of this number, approximately 3,215 are engaged in graduate studies with approximately one-third of those enrolled in a discipline relating to biological science. Our faculty and graduate programs attract highly qualified students from diverse educational, social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. It is this global mix‹and the style of informality and congeniality‹that contributes to the richness of both the campus and the City of Davis.The 5,146-acre campus is surrounded by rich agricultural fields and includes a formal Arboretum intertwined by a 2-mile footpath along Putah Creek; oaks, redwoods, and dry land trees and shrubs predominate throughout campus. Aside from a world-famous campus, Davis is known for its attention to the quality of college-town life and to the environment. In keeping with this environmental consciousness, Davis has the largest number of bikes per capita of any city in the United States.
