The mission of the dual M.D./Ph.D. degree program at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is to train physcician scientists who are especially well-prepared to help meet the evolving scientific, social, ethical, political and humanitarianitarian challenges facing health care. Meeting these challenges requires fundamental training in an area of science in addition to the traditional training received during completion of the M.D. degree.
The Neuroscience Graduate Program has PSTP students in almost every class. We encourage students with interest in this program to contact us, as well as the PSTP advisors, with any questions.
Please see the official PSTP website for detailed information about the program.
