Research Summary

Lauren Fink is a PhD student in the Neuroscience Graduate Group. She received her BM in Percussion Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and her M.Phil in Music & Science from the University of Cambridge (UK). Her master’s thesis examined music’s ability to modulate eyeblink patterns. At Davis, Lauren’s research is focused on characterizing music-induced entrainment of ocular motor behaviors, e.g. eyeblinks and pupil dilation, and understanding the effect that music can, therefore, exert on not only temporal but also spatial attention.
