The Center for Neuroscience at UC Davis is an interdisciplinary, independent research unit run through the College of Biological Sciences. The Center functions as a cohesive unit with strong and productive interactions among its members. Resident members of the Center are housed at 1544 Newton Court, while affiliate members are housed in research units on campus, off-campus in Davis, and at the Medical Center in Sacramento.

Faculty are supported by a number of grants from sources including the NIH, NSF, NASA, James S. McDonnell Foundation, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, The Esther A. and Joseph Klingenstein Fund, March of Dimes, W.M. Keck Foundation, Pritzker Consortium, ARCS Foundation, Pew Scholars Program, Human Frontier Science Program, Whitehall Foundation, M.I.N.D. Institute, NARSAD, Office of Naval Research, the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, and private donations.
